Following a comprehensive two-day audit conducted on December 22 and 29, 2025, SGS officially notified United Silicon Innovation corp. on December 31 that both the Hukou Plant and Zhongli Plant I have successfully passed the audit. The quality management systems of both facilities have been verified to fully comply with ISO 9001 standards.

The scope of this certification covers the manufacturing of silicon substrates for advanced packaging and the cleaning services for glass carriers.

The investor is TOPCO INTERNATION INVESTMENT CO.,LTD. a wholly owned investment subsidiary of TOPCO SCIENTIFIC CO., LTD. With this investment, is TOPCO INTERNATION INVESTMENT CO.,LTD. will become the largest legal shareholder of United Silicon Innovation Corporation and will also join the company’s board of directors.

The fund being raised in this round will be spent to significantly enhance USIC’s production capacity for AI-related products. The company plans to double its cleanroom capacity, introduce robotic and robotic arm systems to increase automation and reduce human error, install AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) and flatness measurement equipment, and establish dedicated warehousing systems and spaces for clients.

USIC aims to play a pivotal role in the field of AI semiconductor manufacturing. To further scale its operations and technological capabilities, the company plans to launch its C round funding in Q2 of 2026.

June 17, 2025 was the day when two SpeedFam polishing machines arrived at USIC ChungLi factory I.

USIC’s Refresh Technology provides an advanced production process that enhances the value of defective silicon wafers, which serve as raw materials for this technology. These wafers are by-products from front-end semiconductor manufacturing processes and are characterized by their large volume, diverse defect types, and complex specifications.

Refresh Technology significantly improves the value of defective silicon wafers by transforming them into high-spec silicon substrates for advanced packaging. This process presents immense market growth potential. It incorporates multiple wafer manufacturing techniques to address the inherent defects and complexities of defective wafers.

Additionally, Refresh technology can achieve the effects of a circular economy, thereby meeting international ESG standards. It enables USIC to become a part of the green circular system within globally integrated international enterprises.

Refresh Technology is a proprietary invention of USIC and has been granted a Taiwanese patent, Patent No. M670796. Plans for a U.S. patent application are underway.

Refresh Technology can significantly reduce manufacturing costs while maintaining a certain level of product quality, thereby improving the product’s pricing advantage. The technology is already widely applied in “space wafer™” manufacturing and “glass substrate” recycling and regeneration services. Dear Partners,

Can Chinese goods be directly exempted using tariff clause 9903.01.32? According to its provisions, goods produced in China can be exempted from tariffs under the following conditions:

  1. The goods’ country of origin is not China (e.g., Taiwan, Vietnam).
  2. The goods are imported from China but meet the requirements of clause 9903.01.34, which stipulates that at least 20% of the product value originates from the United States. In this case, partial tariff exemption can be claimed.

Now, to answer the key question: Is the tariff on Chinese-manufactured silicon wafers exported to the United States 0% or 125%? The answer is 125%! Unless the manufacturer can justify that at least 20% of the product value of the imported silicon wafer comes from the United States.

However, silicon wafers manufactured by USIC comply with tariff clause 9903.01.32, qualifying for a 0% tariff exemption.

Four colleagues received the Corporate Culture Award. While the value of the prizes is important, the intangible value and assets brought by the corporate culture are even more crucial. These four nurses, with over 100 years of combined experience, delivered their presentation with humor and clarity, making it easy for our colleagues to understand. Despite working in the high-pressure environment of a hospital, these nurses have found unique ways to relieve stress during the examination process, and I learned a lot from them.

Over the past three years, our company has grown annually by 30% to 50%, and this year is no exception, with growth close to 30%. Based on my own hands-on experience, I believe there are three essential pillars for business growth: a robust incentive system,

The title of this book caught my eye. Seeing it endorsed by several Nobel-level scholars, combined with my own belief that a nation’s success is closely linked to a company’s success, quickly placed it on my reading list.

A nation’s success isn’t about geography or size—it’s directly tied to its political institutions. Likewise, a company’s success isn’t about its origins or size but rather its incentive systems and encouragement of disruptive innovation suggestions. It’s inspiring  to be moved by a book like this!

Semicon West Exhibition, ended perfectly.

The 2024 Semicon West exhibition has ended successfully! This year’s event was held in the beautiful city San Francisco CA, and the 2025 exhibition will be reallocated to Arizona state.

This year’s visitors had both of similarities and differences compared to previous years. Similar to before, the majority of visitors came from semiconductor equipment backgrounds. Due to the uniqueness of our products, we received numerous quotation opportunities.

The difference was that the visitors include investment offices in the Dominican Republic and local investment lobbyists in the United States.

These national investment guests proactively visited our booth, indicating that United Silicon Innovation corporation’s products have gained international attention and that our quality has been widely recognized by international clients.

The demand potential for semiconductor silicon wafers in the United States is huge, and the silicon wafer products produced in Taiwan are certified in the United States. We are expecting the company to reach a higher level in the United States market.

patented production machine is officially in mass production.

Technology serves as the fundamental cornerstone for semiconductor companies’ same as USIC does.

USIC is founded seven years ago, the company’s operations model has gradually shifted from 100% outsourcing to combining patented technology with own factory production. The large capital investment posed operational challenges, and the integration of production methods naturally posed many challenges for the management team that they had not encountered before.

Through considerable effort, we have enhanced productivity and showcased quality, which constitute the fundamental competitive edge in the semiconductor industry.

Yesterday, we pulled the red ribbon to announce that the patented machines have been handed over to the production department. The engineering department’s workload has not diminished following the handover of the machinery. Technological enhancements are essential to reduce the defect rate, which is a true measure of core competitiveness. The production department has started to appeal to the engineering team for these improvements.

This machine is protected by intellectual property rights. In the future, our factories will be equipped with many such machines, which will collectively create a unique set of product manufacturing technologies. This represents the future of USIC, as its uniqueness provides a high added value to our products.

After a 7.4 magnitude earthquake strucks Taiwan, United Silicon Innovation Corporation continued to operate as usual.

A 7.4 magnitude earthquake hits Taiwan on April 3rd, presenting a stern test for the United Silicon Innovation Corporation . Despite the damage to several hundred silicon wafers, all employees were safe, the machine pipeline was functioning properly. Production lines and shipping processes remained on track.

Before 10:00 AM, colleagues diligently cleared and repositioned any fallen objects. After 10:00 AM, everyone resumed their regular work routines. Water, electricity, and email communications were maintained throughout the day. At noon, following the established schedule, the company awarded the Best Contribution Award for the first quarter. The prestigious award was granted to the Engineering Technical Leader. As the saying goes, good food is essential, and the bonus was certainly generous.

In addition to expressing gratitude for the colleagues’ hard work and dedication, special thanks were given to the tireless rescue personnel, including firefighters and emergency responders. Their selfless contributions has enabled ordinary citizens to continue providing value in their work. Finally the earthquake on April 3rd was the most significant seismic event in the past 25 years. Taiwan’s rapid recovery has demonstrated its remarkable resilience. While it may not be termed a miracle, it certainly reflects the unique character of the Taiwanese people.

Taiwan once again demonstrated its cultural resilience to the world, emphasizing that it is a trustworthy partner and a country deserving of global friendships.

Donation for the Noto Peninsula earthquake in Japan

On the first day of 2024, a magnitude 7.6 earthquake struck the Noto Peninsula region in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, resulting in severe casualties and significant disaster. In an effort to assist Japan in its relief efforts, Taiwan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW) has established a private donation relief account, allowing Taiwanese citizens to contribute voluntarily.

The close relationship between Taiwan and Japan is marked by deep emotional ties. Both governments and their people consistently extend a helping hand to each other during times of crisis. When Taiwan faced earthquakes in Tainan and Hualien, Japan promptly dispatched rescue teams to assist. Similarly, during the height of Taiwan’s COVID-19 pandemic, Japan donated 4.2 million vaccine doses in a timely manner, leaving a lasting impression on the people of Taiwan.

Japanese Ambassador to Taiwan, Mr. Katayama, expressed gratitude for the care and goodwill extended by people from all walks of life of Taiwanese society after the earthquake. He acknowledged that Taiwan consistently reaches out to Japan in times of need, demonstrating true friendship.

Through the “Find Love Again” public fundraising platform, USIC has donated NT $30,000 to the Japan Noto Peninsula Earthquake Relief Project. With this small contribution, we hope to aid the disaster-affected residents of Ishikawa Prefecture’s Noto Peninsula in rebuilding their homes and restoring normality to their lives.

The four words ‘Ying-Yang Power Principle “形機成勢”(footnote) from Sun Tzu’s ‘The Art of War’, written 2500 years ago, describe two possible approaches for changing the situation. The first is ‘Xing’(the Potential Energy Power) and the second is ‘opportunity ‘. These principles is able to apply to individuals, teams, businesses, and even entire nations. Despite its ancient origins, this wisdom remains relevant across different fields, including gaining a competitive advantage in business.

Sun Tzu’s foresight continues to command respect. United Silicon Innovation Corp(USIC)has a certain degree of recognition in the market. If it wants to further expand its business scale and increase its market influence, it must use the new opportunities brought by the technological evolution of the semiconductor market on the basis of its existing business foundation to achieve the company’s growth goals and fulfill the company’s original intention of “becoming an international brand supplier of test silicon wafers”.

On the aspect of ESG sustainable management, USIC needs to take more proactive actions, and start its practices on the issue of ESG sustainable development. On the Environment aspect, the company has invested millions of funds to ensure that its overall operation does not cause social and environmental impacts. On the Society responsibility aspect, the company combines artworks by artists, and through the artists’ high-level imaginative creations, further elaborates the company’s corporate culture and business philosophy. Occasionally relaxing is necessary, and drinking a cup of Starbucks is not a big deal.

One day in the afternoon, there were many conversations coming from the large office area. The tone of the voices was cheerful, not the monotonous tone of official business discussions. I went to the source of the happy sound to join in the fun, haha! It turned out that everyone was holding a cup of Starbucks drink. The Starbucks drinks were paid for by the sales director himself for everyone to enjoy, including me.

It is common to have drinks in the office, but it is rare to have expensive Starbucks drinks. It is speculated that there must be something unusual.

It turned out that the international leading customer who had been cultivating for more than a year released a trial production order two weeks ago. After the team’s daily efforts to communicate and coordinate with external suppliers, the company can deliver within the time accepted by the customer. The quantity of the next order after delivery is expected to double. The sales vice president happily invited everyone to drink Starbucks, not only to reward colleagues but also to start preparing for the production operation of the next order.

From the beginning of the order-taking process, then entering the production scheduling operation, until the final ETD delivery operation, and even the human reward behavior of inviting drinks, under the leadership of the sales vice president, the overall operation was completed smoothly! Of course, I feel relaxed and at ease, enjoying the rare opportunity of being a leader who has real power and is ready for important things on the sidelines .

Does a leader have to control everything? The answer is of course! The leader establishes a corporate culture and clearly defines the norms of work behavior, sets goals to make the team move in the same direction, and does not need to participate in the middle operation process, leaving it to professional knowledge managers to execute. Is it easy to be such a leader? You will know only when you do it. This is the wisdom I gained today.

We have launched a new talent development plan. We need to accelerate and keep pace with the company’s growth, or we will be eliminated by the times.

The company’s business model has evolved every three years in the past growth process. and the revenue will also exhibit exponential growth. However, our capabilities have not matched such a growth rate, which makes me very anxious.

With the assistance of Ms. Milean Chen, we have initiated a talent development plan, starting from the basic work skills, enhancing our capabilities and establishing the foundation for the future scale of the company. In the future, our domestic and foreign customer ratio will be 50/50, so the ability to manage international customers is also the key point we need to cultivate.

Effective communication skills are the foundation of successful leadership and management. Individuals who master these skills can use them to seek assistance from colleagues and complete tasks in the workplace. This is a guide on how to improve these skills.                                               

·Develop listening skills:                      

The first step in developing communication skills is to improve listening and identify the main points of the speaker’s message immediately. This skill requires constant practice, and over time, it can inspire our inner communication abilities. Some people are good at expressing their views clearly, while others may encounter difficulties, often beating around the bush and not grasping the core of the message. However, even those who are unclear often inadvertently reveal what they want to convey in the conversation. Essentially, the first step involves interpreting the message that the speaker wants to convey during the listening process, regardless of whether they have expressed their main points clearly. Developing the ability to listen and analyze at the same time is essential for effective communication.                              

·Improve speaking skills:                    

 The second step involves developing speaking skills. First, establish strong language skills, including a wide range of vocabulary, correct grammar usage, appropriate tone, and familiarity with local idioms, to ensure that listeners receive the message smoothly. These constitute the foundation of developing speaking skills. Next, focus on using correct grammar, rich vocabulary and local idioms to clarify the main points concisely. The ultimate goal is to enable the speaker to express their views in a way that is easy for the listener to understand.                                        

 ·Post-conversation analysis:                

The third and most critical stage involves summarizing the message that the speaker wants to convey after the conversation. This includes explicit messages and implied or “read between the lines “.Effective communication is not a one-way expression of oneself without considering the listener’s response; it requires both parties to have language skills, information organization skills and quick response skills.                 

Many schools and private institutions offer courses to improve communication skills. Taking time to participate in these programs will be very helpful.

The “22nd Golden Peak Awards” ceremony was held on September 8. Mr. Lin Jialong, Secretary-General of Presidential Office of Taiwan, presented the “Outstanding Innovation and R&D Award” of the Golden Peak Awards to United Silicon Innovation Corp.

300mm Test Wafer Factory Approval

This 300mm silicon wafer factory is the most advanced production factory of USIC,and it will also be the only production factory in Taiwan that can meet the requirements of high-grade silicon wafers in the OSAT field. Semiconductor packaging factories with advanced packaging technology all over the world are target customers of the factory. In the future, we hope to see customers from South Korea, Taiwan, Southeast Asia and other countries. In April 2023, after the completion of the factory construction, mass production will begin to start immediately. This factory not only represents USIC’s advanced packaging silicon wafer production technology, but also conveys its commitment to customers.

The semiconductors technology is changing with each passing day, and customer’s demand in quality and quantity is constantly increasing. These challenges also create opportunities for us. In terms of technology, we need to be more advanced, and in terms of scale, we must go ahead of our customers, hoping to become a role model for silicon wafer suppliers in this field.

高階CoinRoll Wafers上市

CoinRoll Wafers are Silicon wafers that are packaged similarly in a cylindrical shape to coins. CoinRoll Wafers are generally packaged in Styrofoam boxes, and a box contains 150 pieces of 300mm CoinRoll Wafers. The Styrofoam box is able to reduce the friction between Wafer and Wafer during transportation, which will probably generate surface defects.

A paper is inserted between the CoinRoll wafers in order to reduce the contact marks on the surface of the Wafer. The surface of CoinRoll Wafer is polished on both sides. Since it is not cleaned in clean room environment, the surface will not have um-level cleanliness. There will also be minor scratches and minor defects on the surface. Lasermark generally has both T7 and M12.

CoinRoll Wafers are widely used in various applications, such as machine testing or carrier in the production process of semiconductor devices. As the demand of test wafers increases significantly, more and more Si wafer reclaimed houses use CoinRoll Wafer as the starting material for test wafers production. USIC is the largest supplier of high-grade CoinRoll Wafer, and its downstream customers include leading silicon wafer reclaimed house in Japan and Taiwan.

The demand in semiconductor prime-grade Si wafer continues to grow. And growth demand in test-grade Si wafer has also increased significantly. Demand intensity shifts significantly to USA, Mainland China and SEA countries. 

Different countries have different customer attributes and different demand cycles. In order to meet the needs of various customers, the establishment of warehouse logistic center becoming a critical part of operation.

In the ChungLi Industrial Zone where the head office is located, USIC has expanded the product warehouse space with an area of 320 square meters, which is five times larger than what we have in 2021. The warehouse logistic Center is planned to be officially launched on 2022/03/01.

The spread of the COVID-19 epidemic in the past few days must have affected everyone’s original plan. For example, the negotiated purchase plan, the determined sales quantity, etc. have been changed. Apart from meeting urgently to discuss contingency measures, don’t be too cautious to affect the overall situation of the company’s operations.

Taiwan’s semiconductor industry is controlling the global economy, and even the United States does not want Taiwan’s semiconductor industry to be affected by the epidemic. I heard last week that the United States would release 20 million doses of vaccine, Taiwan would receive the vaccine, and today it received 150,000 doses. If coupled with the high degree of self-discipline of the Taiwanese people, I believe that Taiwan will soon leave the third level.

“Creating customer value” is one of the four major cultures since the establishment of USIC. Before the outbreak of the epidemic, I had discussed an order plan for 6,000 CoinRoll with a customer purchase. Despite the sudden outbreak of the epidemic, the CoinRoll procurement plan was suspended, but USIC still insisted on its promise to retain 6,000 CoinRolls to customers. As long as the customer purchases a phone call, the goods will arrive tomorrow.

My optimism comes from pragmatic work attitude and cautious behavior.

USIC uses a unique sputtering technique to perfectly produce Al Layer wafer

USIC uses a unique sputtering equipment to perfectly deposit two metal layers on the surface of a 300mm silicon wafer with a thickness of 12,000Å.

Sputtered metal layer silicon wafers are widely used in the market of semiconductor packaging and testing sectors, especially packaged components that require wire bonding testing.

The metal layer silicon wafers produced by USIC have sizes ranging from 150mm, 200mm and 300mm, and the thickness can reach up to 12,000Å. The silicon wafer substrate and sputtered metal layer is produced in a cleanroom environment to ensure the silicon wafer is not affected by the external environment.

USIC Operation Headquarters Move Notice.

USIC participated in the groundbreaking ceremony of Nanjing Semiconductor Science Park

CEO (Oliver Lo) and financial consultant (Michael Huang) of USIC were invited to participate in the groundbreaking ceremony of Fiti Foxsemicon for its new high-tech plants located in Nanjing Semiconductor Science Park in 2019.

USIC participated in the project signing ceremony of the Advanced Applied Materials Innovation Research Institute in China.
